ADHD Coaching

  • ADHD coaching exists to help you understand and work with your brain instead of fighting against it, using a mix of collaborative discussion and practical exercises to support the development of executive functioning skills — e.g., self-awareness, organisation and planning, memory, motivation, and emotional regulation.

It is a collaborative and supportive relationship which encourages radical self-acceptance alongside personal accountability. We will work together to harness your strengths and to develop strategies to address challenges so you can make progress towards your personal and professional goals.

It is also important to be clear on what coaching is not. Coaching is not psychotherapy or counselling, nor is it medical or psychiatric diagnosis, advice, or treatment. It is not mentoring, consulting, or legal, financial, or professional advice. I may refer clients to seek alternative or additional help or resources in areas where I am not qualified to advise, and I always recommend that clients be in therapy alongside coaching for maximum benefit.

    • I don’t have a formal ADHD diagnosis?
Absolutely! Whether you were diagnosed through the NHS, a private provider, are self-diagnosed, or just resonate with some ADHD traits, you are welcome here.

    • I’m not in the United Kingdom?
Sessions are primarily held via Zoom, or phone if you prefer, so you can access coaching from anywhere in the world. I am based in London (GMT), although I may occasionally dial in from the United States (EST). If you don’t see an opening that suits your time zone, drop me a line and I’ll see what I can do!

Sessions can currently be booked in GBP (£) or USD ($).

    • I have other co-occurring diagnoses, such as a physical disability, chronic health condition, neurodevelopmental condition, or mental health condition?
You are never required to disclose personal health information as part of coaching, but I welcome any and all discussions around accessibility and inclusivity, and I will do my best to put in place any accommodations to make coaching more accessible for you.

Please be aware that I am not qualified to provide medical advice or psychotherapy as an ADHD coach, and in some cases we may determine that other interventions should take place before, alongside, or instead of coaching.

    • I’m a minor?
For ADHD coaching, I currently only work with clients aged 18 or over.

  • Your employer may be willing to fund ADHD coaching as a reasonable adjustment. Or if you’re based in England, Scotland, or Wales, you may be eligible for workplace coaching through Access To Work. (You can be employed, self-employed, or about to start a new job, and you don’t need a formal diagnosis to qualify!)

The waiting list for an assessment can be 6 months or more, so it’s a good idea to apply as soon as possible.

(Please note that the ‘pay what you can’ rates are for individuals who are self-funding - please get in touch to discuss rates for coaching being funded through an employer or Access To Work.)

  • While I am earning my ICF and PAAC qualifications, I am offering a limited number of “pay what you can” ADHD coaching spaces to help make coaching more accessible. This allows each client to choose their preferred investment on a sliding scale from £15-55 (or $) per one-hour session.

For comparison, average hourly rates for ADHD coaching range from £60-200 (UK) or $70-250 (US).

Your investment is entirely up to you and can change from session to session based on your circumstances and preferences. Each time you book online, you will be able to choose from the options of £15, £20, £25, etc. up to £55. As a guide, I recommend selecting the rate that is closest to your individual yearly income before tax (e.g., £32,000/year = £30 per hour).

If cost is a barrier or you would like to pay a different amount, get in touch!

  • Generally, coaching takes place every 1-2 weeks – but depending on your individual circumstances and goals, you may find that meeting more or less often works for you.

There is no minimum or maximum number of coaching sessions, and the ideal number is different for everyone. It can be helpful to commit to a number of sessions over a specific amount of time – for example, 6-12 sessions over 3 months, followed by time to reflect before choosing whether to carry on.

Since ADHDers may be prone to impulse spending, I don’t offer prepaid packages for new clients – sessions are generally booked and scheduled one at a time. If we are already working together and it suits you to purchase multiple sessions up front, we’ll discuss and find an option that works for you.

  • My standard session length is 1 hour (60 minutes). If you feel you would benefit from longer or shorter sessions, let’s chat about it! We’ll figure out what works best for your brain.

  • In some ways, there are no “typical” sessions, because everyone is different the conversation will flow naturally. But each session will follow roughly this structure:

    1. Check in

    2. Follow up on any agreed actions from the previous session – what helped you succeed or got in the way?

    3. Set the agenda for the session – what’s the best use of our time today?

    4. Discuss and explore the agreed topic – this may include exercises or other techniques.

    5. Agree goals or actions to complete before the next session (if any).

    6. Wrap up

Disclaimer: It’s completely okay to come to a session not knowing what you want to focus on that day – or even what you want to achieve from coaching in general. If we had it all figured out, we wouldn’t be here!

Acting Coaching

  • I work with performers of all ages and experience levels, from absolute beginners to professionals. My areas of interest are drama school audition prep, monologue and scene work, and acting through song.

Use your time with me to prepare for an audition or performance, test out some new material, or deep-dive into the text of a scene, song, or monologue in a supportive, neurodivergent-friendly environment.

As well as coaching privately, I have taught internationally with institutions such as the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Kingston University Collegiate Music, West Virginia University, Fairmont State University Academy for the Arts, Nomadic Youth London, and more.

  • My focus is “acting through song”, rather than singing technique. I can help you pick apart a song, clarify the journey, and develop a connected performance.

We’ll focus on the emotional high notes so a vocal coach can polish those actual high notes!

  • You’ve come to the right place!

I am experienced in supporting performers through the entire process, from choosing schools, to writing personal statements, to selecting and preparing material, to deciding what to wear on the day – I’ll be with you every step of the way.

My clients have received offers from top UK drama schools including the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (RCSSD), London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts – plus recalls from Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and Juilliard.

  • I know the struggle, and I’ll do my best to fit you in! Just drop me an email at nora@activateadhd.com or a WhatsApp at +44 (0) 7822 035571 with the details and your availability.

  • I find that it’s often most convenient to work online. But if you’d prefer to work in person, we can arrange to meet in Central London. Please be aware that any room booking fees are not included in my coaching rate.

  • My base rate for acting coaching is £30/ $40 per hour.

This does not include additional costs such as space hire for in-person sessions, accompanist fees, or self-tape or voiceover services such as use of equipment (camera, microphones, lighting, backdrop) or editing. In these cases, we’ll discuss what you need and provide a quote.

For pairs, the hourly rate is split between clients. Group sessions are available upon request.

  • If you are interested in working with me, please submit this form and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
