Neuroaffirming space for creatives

In my experience, there are high rates of ADHD and neurodivergence in performance and creative fields.* We may seek out these careers due to our interest-based nervous systems, penchant for innovative thinking, unique ability to thrive under pressure, or maybe just to get the novelty and stimulation our brains constantly crave!

At the same time, it can be incredibly draining for ADHDers to navigate the complexities of a freelance or portfolio career (lack of structure, consistency, and external accountability, to name a few), or to balance a “survival job” (or three) alongside creative projects.

If you’re like many creatives, you may find yourself:

  • Struggling to stay organised and keep on top of day-to-day admin

  • Frustrated with your lack of motivation for the things you actually want to be doing

  • Overwhelmed with so many ideas that you don’t know where to start

  • Experiencing burnout after a busy period, or feeling adrift during a quiet one

Coaching provides a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space for you to identify your strengths, examine your challenges, and devise strategies that actually work for you – because they come from you. Book a free intro session to discuss how we can work together!

*Despite the apparent prevalence, there is shockingly little research on how ADHD shows up in the lives and careers of performers and creatives. If you’d like to take part in my research by participating in an interview or a written survey, get in touch!
